DW Speed and Agility Programme
This programme is designed for any athletes aiming to improve their acceleration, speed, and agility, enhancing performance in their chosen sport.
Key Learning Outcomes:
- Master the fundamentals of acceleration and max velocity mechanics for peak speed performance.
- Learn sports-specific agility drills tailored to enhance agility and change of direction.
- Incorporate proper warm-up and cool-down routines to optimize performance and prevent injury.

Start Date: January 2026
- 2 x 60min training sessions each week (1 x weekday and 1 x weekend)
- 1 x Weights programme (designed to help increase strength and power).
- Testing at the start and end of the programme

Week 1: Testing (Speed & Agility)
Week 2-6: Speed & Agility Training Sessions
Week 7: Re-Test (Speed & Agility)
Training Times:
Session 1: Tuesday 6.15pm (Burnside Rugby Park)
Session 2: Saturday 9.30am (Burnside High School Running Track)
